International train =D Sort of...

Post by Quork on Sun Jun 24, 2012 7:44 pm

The red loco is a former GDR class 243, now working for DB Regio as class 143. The loco in the front should be a known sight to some 'round here Razz
The 143 had a technical damage leading to a fire, hence the situation.

There's a video somewhere of the Class 66 - not sure if the grey loco here is called that in Germany - hauling both it's usual freight train - whilst also propelling a broken down Intercity 125 for fGW.

Class 266 for some companies. The 2 is for diesel loco. DB itself has no class 66 (only class 77 and, for a short time in the past, 59) and class 266 at DB relates to MaK G 1206.

0 (or only two numbers) = steam
1 = electro engine
2 = diesel engine
3 = shunting engine
4 = EMU
5 = accumulator MU
6 = DMU
7 = work vehicles
