Class 201 modifications

Post by graymac on Fri Apr 13, 2012 6:29 pm

Some alterations have been made to the class 201 locomotive series. An authentic speedometer has been provided and minor transparency issues have been addressed concerning the brake handle. I will make an upgrade pack to be released soon so BVEWW users won't have to wait until the next update on the website.

Looks great Gray, but what were you wonderful Irish folk using before you decided to use an "authentic" speedometer..........................??

Cheers,

A very inauthentic one, John. It was one I knocked up as a "temporary" fix and it lasted a bit longer than I had intended. Very Happy

It certainly did - now we're really going to have to adhere to the speed limits....!!

The previous speedo was a bit out and I often got told I was a couple of kph over when I passed the limit signs. The new one seems to be spot on so I've released it here, with instructions to instal. Its quite easy.

I've copied your last post into the verified downloads section mate! so all can download, in case it gets hidden away in talks about how you irish folk count your speed Smile

Got to say! them screen shots really have got me wanting that route Smile

Ben.

Well, Irish speedos are an interesting topic - all the speed limits in the country (expect LUAS and DART) are in mph, yet the speedos all read both kph and mph. The 22000's have a digital readout in kph. Having said that, the depot complex has a limit of 10kph!

Anyway - looks nice Graymac - haven't had the chance to try it out, but probably will do today!
