That's the train guard. He pops out of the train after the doors open!

Quite a simple animated feature to include, as it happens. Very Happy Very Happy

That's Tom Beevers! He is working on an update, because the guard will always go to the left platform, and I have several stations with island platforms....

I mean.. when you open/close the doors, the doors aren't just animated, the guard comes out/in too! Very useful and clever!

He'd have a nasty surprise in Ballyfeckin, I've got a few right platforms. pale

There are some old photos on Wikipedia if you type in "Finsbury Park Station" Don't know if they're of any use....!!

Thank you for the tip. In fact I need more and better pics, especially of the platform buildings.

OK, I'll have a look around and see what I come up with, because what you've done so far is brilliant and any enhancements would be a bonus.

Hi. Regarding photographs of Finsbury Park, I don't know how far you have got in your research, but I have been having a look at the London Transport Museum's Archive Photos - there are hundreds of them, so haven't had chance to look through them all, but it could be worth your while having a look. Try www.ltmcollection.org and see what you come up with.

Good Luck,

John

The quality of the film is far beneath that of the game itself. I will need a better video editor.

This is already looking very authentic and reminds me very much of Undergound journeys in the 50's - the sounds are realistic too. What Stock are you using?? And how are you getting on with your photograph search??

The train is the 1959 aluminium LU stock, working almost the same as the red 1938 stock. It is atrain that was given to me by Tom Beevers for testing, and it's running fine.
I'm still looking for decent pictures of Finsbury Park platform buildings.

Have a look at www.disused-stations.org.uk and scroll down to Finsbury Park in the alphabetical listings. There is a photograph of the station there. See what you think.

Umm , are you either reviving it or are you just making publicity out of that station? what you said didn't make perfect sense either

It's extremely difficult go get adequate picture of the platform buildings. There are many pictures on the Internet, but all of them were made for other purposes: looking up and down the line, or with a train on the foreground. Besides, FP is a very unorganized station, no platform is the same. I would go there myself if I were living in London....
