Even without a panto, it is looking very well. Couldn't we just consider it a diesel unit till the panto is done? Smile

Personally I think it is a good one, are you planning to add any further parts? Because it doesn't seem to be finished yet...

I have uploaded an update, also the gauge is now correct. This external is designed to be used with the 390 from tsc.

Just converted Karlneil's pendolino and added nightime textures, as well as tail lighting, and custom normals. The only thing that I'm feeling confused is on every of his models being viewed in ObjectViewer, some planar faces become transparent whilst showing the texture. Besides, here's my contribution:

The texture transparency is quite simply an outcome of incorretly stored .png texture... you have to remove alpha when saving the picture.

save the "corrupt" files to jpeg, open then once in jpeg, and "save AS" back to PNG.

all alpha channeling is then corrected.

simple's.....

Yes, taht is a possible approach, but you have to watch out for jpeg storage settings, as conversion to this format might create artefacts in the picture (talking about color diversion). Probably a more sophisticated way is to use software that allows you to turn the alpha off directly. It can definitely be done in Photoshop and I am more than sure some other programs are capable of it as well. Please suggest which are these.

yes but by avoiding all these programmes and such my method is proven and very easy to do. it adds another 20-30 seconds to the overall editing time and with little effort. and not once has this method failed.

Yes, it is simple and effective. Just as I said, sometimes you need to watch out the jpg settings. Storing in Photoshop actually takes 5 seconds or so. Cool

Same technique, but try changing to a file format such as .TIF and see if hat gets shot of the alpha channel. You won't get the unwanted artefacts that can occur with .jpg then.
