As it's the Pub . . . . .

Post by graymac on Thu Mar 16, 2017 9:11 pm

Seeing as this part of the board is called "The Pub", I think it's the best place for a St Patrick's Day (March 17th) greeting to one and all!
And for future Saint's Days of other countries, weddings, funerals or Bar-Mitzvahs Smile Smile Smile

For all I know, IE could use that golden pot quite well...

Greetings to you, too ;-)

I can confirm that IE are putting a shine on the begging bowl, even as we speak! pirat
There's been a lot of talk recently about cuts and losses. The bus side of the state owned transport giant is trying to impose "economies" and the unions are fighting it tooth and claw in the Labour Courts.

We are living in "interesting times"

Let's share a pint then. Smile  However, I am more into non-alcoholic beverages, such as lemon-flavoured beer... Quork might know it as a RADLER.  Smile And yes, they make a non-alcoholic version of that here.  Surprised

The Czech do know how to make great and very diverse beer, yeah! Though I'll admit to preferring Irish (Guinness being the first beer I ever actually liked) and Belgian (guess I've been spoilt by my lady...) beers. Radler type drinks (or actually any beer mixes) however aren't exactly my taste. Mead (that's the Dark Culture guy in me) and Cidre (that's the Hessian-by-choice in me) are definitely preferred ;-D Though, given my profession, I don't drink neither often nor much anyway...
Long story short: I'll join the two of you with a drinking horn full of mead! Positive

It might surprise you both, but I confess that I didn't even drink a drop of booze, not even on St Patrick's Day. I'm not against drinking, but don't enjoy it any more. I would have about four or five pints of beer if I went out socially a few years ago but never to get drunk.
Perhaps I need to get out more often Smile

The "fun" part of getting drunk was never visible to me either... Haven't been there, haven't done that, haven't missed it.
