Introducing CreateSoundProfile and Rewriting Sound.cfg

Post by lonelyinardwick on Tue Nov 01, 2011 11:01 pm

CreateSoundProfile works like CreateMeshBuilder but it builds an active sound barrier. Sound.CFG applies the CreateSoundProfile inside a Sound1.CSV file, Sound.cfg should be rewritten in the same coding format style as Extensions.cfg and applied on a train.

I only made this post short because the annoying Form Resubmission keeps deleting my input data. But on a quick note, I wanted to make train sounds more realistic by introducing interior and exterior sounds instead of being forced to record either interior or exterior or vice-versa in the making. As well as trying to propose a better way of creating environmental surround sound.

I probably don't know what I'm talking about when I said that.. scratch But I'd love to hear of your comments. Ta! x cheers

The idea in general is not bad, though I have also has a talk with Michelle and to confirm MrKnowItAll's words, this is not yet scheduled in the further development of the sim. By the way, I was also asking about sounds attached to an .animated object as such, because I wanted to process the crossing completely - it is just about stupid, when the train is nowhere near and the bells are ringing. I was informed that implementation of this is not amongst the priorities at this time, but I still have a feeling the topic is becoming very actual and important.
