GWR 78xx Manor Class- 7820 Dinmore Manor

Post by leezer3 on Wed Oct 29, 2014 3:54 pm

NOW AVAILABLE FROM MY SITE!

So, this is the second drivable 3D steam locomotive I’ve built for OpenBVE- This time, it’s a mainline passenger locomotive- 7820, Dinmore Manor.
This time, it (only) took me three months as opposed to the rather too-long 18 months for the 81xx, but I learned a lot of things building her, and this time I’ve added even more features to boot.

This one came about, as Dinmore Manor Locomotive Ltd, were kind enough to bring this fine locomotive to our summer gala at the North Norfolk Railway, and this enabled me to get the pictures needed to bring her to life.
I’ve supplied her with a mixed rake of Blood & Custard and Chocolate & Cream MK1 carriages, again mostly courtesy of our C&W department.

A couple of screenshots for you:

Running the guts of this train is the current version of the BVEC_ATS plugin:

I think I've fixed all the current crashes, but I stand to be corrected on that score Laughing
Please email me or post with any bugs found, and assuming I can reproduce them, I'll fix them!

As a final note, you'll find that this loco will require a decent computer, as practically everything that moves has been animated, including just about all of the cab components, and animated separate bogies etc.

Cheers

This looks great but I can't get the train to move. I have put the folder in the train directory and when I load OBVE there is the train at the platform but it is unresponsive to any controls. Do I need to do something with the plugin? I don't understand plugins.

Thanks,

Michael

Try hitting the space bar Smile

You've probably still got the tender brakes applied.
