A new Polish route

Post by fcancalon on Tue Mar 25, 2014 6:53 pm

The very interesting Polish website http://bve.e6.pl/ has been re-activated, and a new route has even been created and added.
This is a real route from Szklarska Poreba Gorna (Poland) to Harrachov (Czech Republic).
16 km, 30 minutes.
The rolling stock (DMU SA-134) to use on this route is available as well.
Enjoy  Very Happy
And thanks a lot to the author Rave !

... Well, it is not so easy to build a route for BVE. And we have to be happy that a new production is being done. I am unable to do it but I think that Rave would not disagree if somebody, from the BVE community, proposes to prepare a version 2  Smile

I'm sure that there is a fix to any "bugs" once they are identified. It would be unusual not to find some in a new work, especially a first release. (I've only looked at this route with "routeviewer" so far, have yet to run it in realtime)

This route is in fact a real one (not just tracks on the grass, but a route with a landscape).
I effectively got a freezing issue just at the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. But, as indicated by Graymac, this route has been published just a few days ago - so it is normal to identify such bugs  Surprised ...

cog railway

I would like to add that this route continues in Czech Republic to the towns Tanvald and Jablonec nad Nisou (Northern Bohemia). Some parts in Czech Republic were the cog railway. Unfortunately the traffic between Czech Republic and Poland was many years ago  interrupted.

Well... a common issue of railway networks in Central Europe. in Poland for instance between the 2 biggest cities in Southern Poland, Katowice and Krakow, 2:20 minutes for 70 kilometers, and the modernisation has been postponed. What is awful is that the trip duration in 1941 (let us forget this period) was 1:10 with steam locomotives and a stop at the border (Katowice was in the Reich, Krakow in the GeneralKommisariat). Embarassed

I see one problem: Fps in the station Jakuzsyce is very low and I do not understand why. May be there are some objects requiring too much of memory because in the beginning and the end of the route fps is very good.
Does anybody have the same problem?
